Simple Design With One Moving Part
During safety system operation, the DPV-1 valve automatically controls the flow of water into the preaction piping system.
Preaction type B systems are used in areas exposed to freezing temperatures, like unheated warehouses, parking garages, and attic spaces. In a dry pipe situation, the valve is engaged either by a fire detection alarm or the release of a sprinkler.
By starting to prefill the system piping with water when a fire is first detected, preaction type B systems have an increased speed of water delivery compared to standard dry pipe sprinkler systems.
