The Grinnell G-Fire Figure 579A is ready to install right out of the box, arriving pre-assembled and pre-lubricated. The coupling features a unique, three-piece housing, a center-stop gasket, and just one bolt to tighten. Gaskets for the 579A are customized to specific coupling sizes intended for easy and consistent installation. The smallest sizes, including 1-1/4” (DN32) and 1-1/2” (DN40), utilize a powder-lubricated gasket; the mid-range and large sizes, including 2-inch (DN50) through 8-inch (DN200), utilize a self-lubricating gasket.
